I still remember when I was a young teen and he was playing a Nirvana song and he stopped it at this one line: “I miss the comfort of being sad”
He told me that when you start to get better, there’s a part of you that misses being sad and that if you start feeling that way you have to be extra extra aware and careful because if you indulge the feeling you’ll go down a self-destructive spiral
And even though that was years and years ago, I think about it all the time. Especially when I’m reading discourse on the idea of getting so attached to mental illness as an identity that you don’t want to improve things because you feel safe in it and don’t know who you are without it

[due to medical reasons, there were other options presented to her, but again she said “fuck it” and chose the amputation because that was the safest option in her opinion, and she never once lets this decision hinder her or change anything about her.] Or how she has teamed up with the Alternative Limb Project who not only supplies her with these downright masterful prosthetic limbs but also helps other amputees afford such limbs for themselves? And helps said amputees express themselves and be creative with their newfound limbs? [fyi, the glowy leg is NOT cgi, that is 100% real, LED powered prosthesis. Fuck yeah engineering, baybee!]
Viktoria Modesta is quite possibly the greatest thing to happen to pop music and maybe even modern society as a whole, because she is literally proving that disabled people are not broken, they are not weak; they are strong, can put “normal” abled bodied people in their place, and look downright amazing while doing so. She is an inspiration and if you don’t think that is incredible then get the fuck away from me, you are not worth anyone’s time.

listen, not to be dramatique but i’d be fine with the terms omnisexual, polysexual, pansexual, etc to describe people’s experiences if they weren’t a continuation of the lgbt+ community’s biphobia and desire to avoid the term bi
like you can id however you want, it isn’t my place to police anyone, but please think critically about why there are so many terms for identities of attraction to multiple genders, but there’s generally one accepted term for most other sexualities

bisexuality has and always has been the attraction to TWO OR MORE genders, REGARDLESS OF WHAT THOSE GENDERS ARE
within bisexuality there are a lot of separate experiences, however all fall under “bisexual”
please go read yourself the 1990 bi manifesto, which sought to eliminate harmful misconceptions about bi people in 1990, including that bisexuality only involves two gender attraction or only involves attraction to binary genders
